Painting a portrait

Valeria ArtLabMany people think it is too hard to paint a portrait. In reality it’s not so. They just don’t know how. It is like math, if you know a formula, you can solve a problem. In our case the formula is knowing proportions of a human face. Since you realized how to built  the eyes, nose, mouth and ears, and define their positions, you will be able to draw any face, and then to work on resemblance.

This lesson includes 3 parts.

1. You learn proportions on paper;

2. I show you how to paint a portrait with acrylic paints, you are watching;

3. You paint a portrait using what you learned about proportions of a human face, I am watching 🙂

And yes, I am here to help you.

All students and kids from 8 years of age doing this work very well and surprisingly really fast (comparable to the lesson “Painting Flowers” for example). Besides, it’s FUN!
